As the sales of new energy vehicles continue to rise, the demand for charging infrastructure is also rising. According to the data of China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (hereinafter referred to as “Charging Union”), as of July 2018, the members of the alliance reported a total of 274,777 public charging piles, including 120713 AC charging piles and DC charging piles 90482. 63, AC and DC integrated charging piles.

The largest number of piles in Beijing, the people who buy the most electric vehicles in the Pearl River Delta, basically install private charging piles, but only the number of public charging piles can represent the perfection of local infrastructure. Many people's concerns about buying new energy vehicles are the problem of cruising range. Imagine if new energy vehicles have electricity supply nearby, and charging stations are everywhere in China like gas stations, then new energy vehicles will definitely be More people accept it, so the improvement of charging facilities is crucial to reducing users' mileage anxiety and promoting the popularity of new energy vehicles.

According to the statistics of the charging alliance, the top ten public charging piles in the provincial administrative region (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are: 41,130 in Beijing, 35,007 in Shanghai, 33,937 in Guangdong, and 28,464 in Jiangsu. There are 20,128 in Shandong, 1,390 in Zhejiang, 11,657 in Tianjin, 11,377 in Hebei, 10,968 in Anhui, and 8,240 in Hubei.

 

 

The national charging power is mainly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta and the central and western regions. Beijing is mainly dominated by private passenger vehicles; the main flow of electricity in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shaanxi, Hubei, Shandong, Fujian, Sichuan, Hunan and Shanghai Special vehicles such as buses are mainly used, supplemented by passenger cars.

The total charge of electric vehicles in the country was about 217 million kWH, an increase of 25.6 million kWH from the previous month. The top ten provinces and cities this month, the average charge increased by about 1.9 million kWH from the previous month.

 

 

The charging pile operator has a high concentration in the industry. The entire charging pile industry consists of three parts: equipment manufacturers, equipment operators, and Internet operation platforms. The most contacted charging facilities are the charging operators. At present, there are more than 100 operators in the charging pile market. According to the statistics of the charging alliance, there are only 16 charging facilities in the charging pile operators with ≥1000.

The data shows that the top five operators special calls, State Grid Corporation, Star Charging, China Putian, SAIC An Yue accounted for more than 80% of the market share. According to the current situation, each charging operator has its own developed APP, and its charging pile must be operated through the corresponding APP. When the number of charging piles of these giants is increasing, the convenience of users using charging piles will be greatly improved.

Private car charging pile construction rate needs to be improved. The ideal state is that each electric car can have its own private charging pile, so that the car owners can charge the car when the electricity is low at night. At the same time, the public charging pile penetration rate is also very high, and there is no need to worry about the vehicle's battery life wherever it goes.

However, there is no guarantee that every electric car can use its own charging pile. According to the charging alliance data, the charging pile of the private car is about 82.2%. This data has improved compared with the previous one, but it still has not reached the optimal state. The "Notice on Accelerating the Construction of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Residential Areas" jointly issued by the four ministries is also to urge the relevant departments to support the construction of private charging piles from the policy level.

With the increase in the number of charging piles, it is more and more convenient to use electric vehicles. However, the specifications and usage methods of charging piles produced by different charging pile manufacturers have certain differences. It is indeed convenient to operate charging through APP, but different charging. Operators have different apps, which add to the user's troubles. In the future, while the number of charging piles increases, the user experience should also be fully considered.
